Privacy policy

The free tools do not upload your answers. The professional report only processes the contact details and structured questionnaire needed to set up the order, prepare the report and deliver it.

Current version notice

The three free 3-minute assessments, the postal-area school lookup and the single-school preparation tool are still handled only on the current browser page — nothing is uploaded. The professional report is normally paid through Stripe, which collects a delivery email and phone number; the team can also set up an unpaid invite for a specific family being tested, and the invited family’s contact details and draft answers are saved automatically but only enter report production once an administrator confirms it.

The paid flow does not ask for your child’s name, identity document numbers, full date of birth, diagnostic records or full address, and does not store card numbers.

1. What this policy covers

This site and the paid report are operated by Northeast Research, which is responsible for the personal data handling and data requests described in this policy. The current contact channel for privacy and data matters is sgschoolgowhere@gmail.com.

This policy applies to the free decision tools on sgschoolgowhere.com, the paid “SG Primary Family Decision Report” service, one-time test invite codes, and unpaid test invites set up separately from the admin backend. The site is for parents and guardians; it does not require a child to use it directly.

The paid flow processes the email and phone number provided at payment, an automatically generated application ID, the Stripe order identifier, the payment amount and status, and the structured questionnaire the parent submits. Please do not submit your child’s name, full date of birth, identity document numbers, diagnostic records, school class, full home address or third-party contact details.

2. What information is currently processed

3-minute primary school assessment

The assessment uses your child’s status band, target entry window, main family concern, family priorities, attitude to moving house, planned arrangements in Singapore, and, in specific cases, a family residency-stability option. This information is only used to understand the education pathway on the current page.

S1 posting assessment

The assessment uses your child’s current stage, residency band, PSLE score band (a range option, not an actual score or transcript), how far along your six-choice list already is, the question your family most wants to settle first, and the one-way commute range you can accept. It does not require your child’s name, actual score, school transcript or free text; answers are only used to organise the six choices and the school-by-school checks on the current page — nothing is uploaded, and nothing is used to predict admission.

Secondary A-Level and IB pathway assessment

The assessment uses the current education stage and course, which pathways are available, decision timing, university region and subject direction, a summary of timed assessments and independent tasks, and the family’s main arrangements. It does not require your child’s name, school transcripts or free text; answers are only used to compare course pathways on the current page.

Optional postal-area school lookup

The results page only accepts the first two digits of a Singapore postal code. These two digits are matched against public postal-area school data in the browser only — they are not written into the URL, uploaded, saved, or included in any analytics event.

Paid professional report

The Stripe-hosted payment page collects the delivery email, phone number and the details needed to process payment. This site receives the payment success status, application ID, order identifier, amount and contact details. The professional questionnaire submitted after payment is stored in an access-controlled database and automatically linked to the order and application ID. Card numbers and other payment credentials are handled by Stripe and never enter this site’s database.

Once the report is complete it is sent automatically from reports@sgschoolgowhere.com to the delivery email provided, with sgschoolgowhere@gmail.com as the reply address. The phone number is only used if the email bounces or a key detail must be confirmed — never for marketing. This applies to every report, however the application was created.

Unpaid test invites

An administrator can set up a secure, one-off form link for a specific family being tested. The invited family first fills in a delivery email and the necessary phone number; the questionnaire is then saved automatically as it is filled in. A draft does not become eligible for a free report through a URL parameter alone — only after an authorised administrator explicitly confirms it in the protected backend does the application enter report production.

Unconfirmed invite drafts are kept for at most 30 days. Once confirmed as an unpaid case, they are managed under the same rule as paid reports: at most 365 days if undelivered, 90 days after delivery.

One-time internal test invite codes

The payment entry point offers a low-visibility invite-code verification field. The database only stores the SHA-256 hash of the code, its last four characters, its batch and its usage status — never the code in plain text; the code itself carries no family data. Once verified, the code is immediately consumed and bound to one application ID and a private questionnaire entry.

Redeeming a code does not yet require family contact details; once inside the questionnaire, a delivery email and the necessary phone number are still required. Drafts are kept for at most 30 days; a complete submission automatically starts report processing and is then managed under the same paid-report rule (at most 365 days if undelivered, 90 days after delivery).

Site usage and performance data

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. Cloudflare’s own documentation states that this tool does not rely on cookies or localStorage to collect usage metrics, and does not fingerprint individuals using IP address, user agent or other data. This site does not receive family questionnaire answers or an identifiable per-visitor record from this tool.

3. Why we process this information

  • To complete the education pathway assessment and postal-area school lookup on the current page;
  • To check whether public pages load correctly and perform consistently;
  • To improve page structure, performance and usability using aggregate data;
  • To confirm payment, create an application ID, and automatically link the order with the questionnaire;
  • To automatically prepare, review, generate and deliver the personalised PDF report, and to handle necessary after-sales support, refunds and data requests;
  • To prevent misuse and keep the site secure.

We do not use free or paid questionnaire answers for ad targeting, selling leads, cross-site tracking, or marketing unrelated to this report.

4. Storage, sharing and cross-border processing

Answers from the three quick assessments and the postal-code prefix never enter this site’s database; the current page state disappears once you refresh or close the page. Paid orders, test-invite-code usage records, unpaid invite drafts and professional questionnaires are stored in an access-controlled Cloudflare database, viewable only by authorised staff. Stripe processes normal payments; Cloudflare provides the site, database, Workers AI, Browser Rendering, private PDF storage, email sending, secure connections and aggregate analytics; Google Gmail is used only as a reply and business support mailbox. These services may process necessary data outside Singapore under their own policies. Contact details are never sent to Workers AI — the model only receives the structured questionnaire content and already-verified facts needed to complete the report.

Unconfirmed unpaid invite drafts and redeemed-but-unsubmitted test-invite-code drafts are kept for at most 30 days. Paid, confirmed-unpaid or fully submitted test-invite data is kept for at most 365 days. Professional questionnaires and delivery contact details are deleted within 90 days of report delivery, except where legal, accounting, dispute or refund handling genuinely requires otherwise. The system checks for expired records daily and carries out deletion. Invite-code hashes, last-four characters, batch and usage status may be kept as a minimal anti-reuse and audit record. This site does not connect to ad networks or behavioural profiling tools.

5. Children and family data

Education decisions naturally may involve children. We minimise data collection, using only categories, ranges and parent-level summaries that affect the pathway, and do not ask for data that directly identifies a child. Please complete the assessment as the parent or guardian, and avoid entering your child’s name, diagnoses, identity documents, class, full address or third-party details in free text.

6. Access, correction and deletion

The free assessments do not create a personal profile. Paid users or unpaid invited families can email sgschoolgowhere@gmail.com from the delivery email they submitted to request access, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion, providing their application ID. We process the request after verifying the requester’s relationship to the application. Deletion or withdrawal may mean a report that has not yet been completed can no longer be produced.

For how each type of data is cleared, the retention periods and the exceptions where immediate deletion is not possible, see the Data & deletion notice.

7. Updates and official references

When the purpose of data use, the paid flow, retention periods or third-party services change materially, we will update this policy first, and re-obtain consent where required.
