P1 phases in order — what qualifies at each stage
For citizen and PR families, P1 registration runs in a fixed order: Phase 1 → Phase 2A → Phase 2B → Phase 2C → 2C Supplementary. Each phase has its own eligibility conditions, and meeting any one of them lets you register in that phase. International students are not part of this sequence — they enter a separate Phase 3 only after citizens and PR applicants have all been allocated.

- Note down two separate facts: the earliest phase your child qualifies for, and whether that phase has historically triggered a ballot at this school.
- If you don't currently meet the earliest phase's conditions, assess realistically whether meeting them is achievable.
- Compare your target school and 1–2 similar alternatives on the same timeline.
